ROAD: NSE ILARO PLEDGED SUPPORT TO CONTRACTORS

In view of the On-going reconstruction and channelization of Road-Bridges across Ilaro Axis of Yewa South Local Government, The Nigerian Society of Engineers has pledged their Support to the projects. The declaration was made on Wednesday during the inspection of various construction sites at Oke Ela Area, Double Crown Area, Gbogidi Area and Orita by the Ilaro Chapter of the professional body.
The delegates while speaking to the engineers at the various sites, expressed their concerns over the projects as Motorists and Residents were seen to have enroute different road diversion to their destinations.
Engr Omopariola, A Civil Engineering Expert, advised the contractors to look into the peak flow of the Water volume of the waterways and also consider the discharge volume from drainage channeling water to each rivers to avert an erosion-prone areas.
Works at Oke Ela site has passed excavation process as major construction process is ongoing at the Double Crown Area, while Gbogidi Bridge and Orita waterways channel still awaits presence of the contractors.
Another delegate member, Engr. Olaoye admonished the engineers to look into dredging of all waterways to avoid haps and floods in the areas. he further call for Quality Control of all products used in cause of the project as approved by the relevant regulatory bodies.
The Chapter Chapter who doubles as the head of the Delegate, Engr. Aiyelabowo laud the government and the facilitators of the projects for their pro-active efforts to delivers their electioneering promises to constituents
