The Chairman of the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC), Mr. Babatunde A. Osibodu Esq has announced with deep sorrow the passing of Hon Tajudeen Soyeolu Omolaja, Commissioner, Operations of the Commission, on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 after a brief illness.
His demise is a profound loss not only to OGSIEC but to the entire state.
Expressing his condolences, Mr. Osibodu stated, “This is a deeply painful and shocking loss. Mr. Omolaja was more than a distinguished public servant, he was a peacemaker whose wisdom, integrity, and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence will be sorely missed.”
Until his passing, Mr. Omolaja served with dedication as commissioner in charge of Operations with an unwavering commitment to fairness and transparency in electoral processes. His contributions will continue to inspire future generations in public service.
During this difficult period, OGSIEC extends its heartfelt prayers for strength and comfort to the Omolaja family, friends, and colleagues.
