League of Yoruba Media Practitioners Confers Grand Patron Title on Chief Olabode Ibiyinka George
The League of Yoruba Media Practitioners (LYMP) on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, conferred the prestigious title of Grand Patron on Chief Bode in recognition of his unwavering support and commitment to the growth of Yoruba media and cultural development.
The investiture ceremony was well attended by members of Chief Bode’s family, descendants of the late Herbert Macaulay, and members of the League of Yoruba Media Practitioners, all of whom gathered to celebrate the occasion.
As part of the event, the association’s President, Olaide Gold, ceremonially presented a commemorative plaque to the new Grand Patron on behalf of the organisation.
In his acceptance remarks, Chief Bode expressed appreciation for the honour bestowed on him and pledged to continue supporting the League in its mission of promoting Yoruba language, culture, and responsible journalism.
The event was marked by goodwill messages, and expressions of optimism for a stronger partnership between the Grand Patron and the association in advancing the objectives of LYMP.
