The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, popularly known as So-Safe Corps, has recovered a stolen TVS motorcycle and apprehended two suspects in connection with the alleged theft of the motorcycle from Eleworo Village, Ofada-Mowe, Ogun State.
In an official statement issued by the State Commander, (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo and made available by the Director of information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Adegunwa Adegbuyi, the Corps disclosed that the suspects were identified as 35-year-old Dauda Ayinde and 43-year-old Rasheed Abdul, both residents of Bisodun, Mokoloki, Ogun State.
In an incident report from the Mokoloki-Ofada Area Command, the Corps disclosed that on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at about 8:00 p.m., some members of the Motorcycle Riders Association arrived in Mokoloki, where the Area Command Office is situated, reportedly creating a disturbance while fighting and running around.
Following the development, the Area Commander, ACC Amidu Odetayo, directed the intelligence team to immediately swing into action to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident. Preliminary information revealed that a motorcycle had allegedly been stolen from Eleworo Village, Ofada-Mowe, on September 14, 2026, and that the stolen motorcycle had subsequently been sighted somewhere in Mokoloki.
The operatives commenced an investigation which led to the arrest of one of the suspects, Rasheed Abdul. During preliminary questioning, the suspect led the operatives to Bisodun, Mokoloki, where the second suspect, Dauda Ayinde, was subsequently apprehended.
According to the preliminary investigation, both suspects confessed to stealing the motorcycle at Eleworo by breaking the padlock and cutting the chain with which the motorcycle had been secured before wheeling it to Mokoloki.
The stolen motorcycle, a blue TVS motorcycle, was subsequently recovered at the residence of one Mr. Razaq Lawal, also known as Oyi, in Mokoloki. The motorcycle was kept at the residence by the time of recovery.
The suspects further disclosed during interrogation that they had been involved in similar operations for approximately two years. Another person identified in connection with the alleged crime, one Saheed of Otunba Village, is currently at large.
The recovered motorcycle and the two suspects have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Ofada Divisional Police Post, for further investigation and appropriate legal action.
The State Commander, (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, commended the officers and men of the Mokoloki-Ofada Area Command for their prompt response, intelligence gathering, professionalism and commitment to duty.
Dr. Ganzallo reiterated the Corps’ commitment to protecting lives and property, strengthening intelligence-led security operations, and maintaining effective collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant security agencies in combating crime across Ogun State.
He urged members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities and criminal incidents to security agencies to facilitate timely intervention and effective investigation.
“The safety of lives and property remains our priority. We will continue to work with other security agencies and will not relent in our efforts to make Ogun State and its environs safer for all residents,” Commander Ganzallo said.
The So-Safe Corps further assured the public that the suspects would be treated in accordance with the law, while the appropriate authorities would conduct further investigation to establish the facts and circumstances surrounding the theft.
