Some weeks after land grabbers invaded and laid siege on Abeokuta Community in the kemta area of the state, Mr Femi Odunewu have sent a strong ‘save my souls’ petition to the Inspector General of Police,Egbetokun asking him to save him from daily harassment and bullying by the land grabbers.
Mr Femi Odunewu, a resident of Kemta Idi-Aba, Abeokuta in Ogun state has written a complaint letter to the Inspector General of Police, Egbetokun over the attrocuties a suspected land grabber, Banjoko Murainu Trico, Kazeem Akinrogun Water has commited in Abeokuta area in their moves to hijack hectares of land which doenst belong to them.
On a phone conversation with our corespondent Mr Femi Odunewu said the land was clarified by the Ogun State Ministry of Lands with necessary documents to affirm his family to be the original owner.
Also, he accused Banjoko Murainu Trico, Kazeem Akinrogun Water of instructing his boys to attack him at the Police Headquarters, Eleweran when he appeared before the commissioner of police call on the land matters, the boys of Water and Trico allegedly inflicted injuries on Femi Odunewu face after beating him thoroughly to scare him.
Meanwhile, a petition has been written and submitted by the legal client of Femi Odunewu after the injury was inflicted on his eyes, but nothing was done till this moment, maybe it was because both land grabbers have comnections or above the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, below is the copy of the petition.
Surprisingly, Banjoko Murainu Trico, Kazeem Akinrogun Water after inflicting injuries on Femi Odunewu, they still went ahead to send invitations to him from Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Abuja with threat to life claims which is totally untrue.
A neighborhood of the said land who pleaded on anonymity told our correspondent that Banjoko Murainu Trico, Kazeem Akinrogun Water are both into land grabbing and their mode of operations is to use Nigeria Police Force Headquarters to arrest legitimate owners of lands, and once they are locked up Water and Trico will take possession of the lands.
He also described the duo as troublemakers who specialized in forcefully collecting people’s properties using the Nigeria Police Force.
Femi Odunewu hereby pleaded to the Inspector General of Police, Egbetokun to wade into the matter before the land grabbers dent the good image of Nigeria Police Force which has taken a lengthy years to establish with their selfish intentions.
