Governor Oyebanji’s passion for people with disabilities is very deep and so he puts their issues on the highest priority .
This is because Mr Governor believes that no one became disabled by his or her own choice as some were born like that and some became disabled through a bad situation .
Governor Oyebanji’s modest contributions towards addressing the challenges of people living with disabilities in Ekiti State is unprecedented.
Upon his assumption of office ,Mr Governor visited the special schools, he interacted with the special students and listened to their concerns . He made promises to them . Mr Governor specifically told them that he would take care of them . To the glory of God ,every word of promise made has been matched with actions and even more .
– Automatic employment has been given to some of them with special skills.
– Provision of free healthcare services.
– Inclusion in all empowerment,training and entrepreneurship programmes as well as job recruitment opportunities .

– Massive renovation of all Government Special Schools for special pupils and students and provision of facilities to the schools.
Now ,Mr Governor has facilitated a standard Therapy Centre for Children with disabilities courtesy of Premium Trust Bank . The centre was inaugurated on Monday by the MD , Mr Emefielem who is a good friend of Mr Governor’s.
The Therapy Centre is the first of its kind in the State . Having this centre will put an end to the trauma and financial agony parents of children with disabilities have to face as their children grow .
The centre will render free professional services to children with disabilities as well as free access to the therapeutic facilities therein .
Mr Governor has also directed that more therapy centres be established outside the state capital to cater for more families with children with disabilities.
Indeed ,this centre will help bring out the ability in their disabilities early as a lot of them have special gifts that even surpass those of us who consider ourselves
