The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, popularly known as So-Safe Corps, has successfully recovered a stolen Toyota Camry, custom colour, with registration number FKJ-734FT.
In a statement issued by the State Commander, (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, and made available by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Adegunwa Adegbuyi, the Corps disclosed that credible information concerning the theft was received on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at about 8:30am through the Director of Liaising, Assistant Commander of Corps Lukman Adebesin.
Subsequently, ACC Adebeshin, after receiving a quick directive of thorough patrol and Intelligence from the State Commander, communicated with the Area Commander, Assistant Commander of Corps Job Adeniji, Atan-Ota Area Command.
According to the State Commander, the vehicle belonging to Mr. Omoola Mathew was reportedly stolen from Agbado–Oke Aro, Ibaragun, after one of the owner’s children discovered at about 5am, that the vehicle was missing from where it had been parked.
Following receipt of the information, officers of the Corps stationed at Adiyan-Muta Divisional Headquarters, under the Divisional Officer, Superintendent of Corps Taofeek Olaleye, immediately commenced efforts to track the vehicle.
Tracking technology indicated that the vehicle was located around Atan-Ota, near Mobil Fueling Station, Asore.
At approximately 12noon, operatives of the Atan-Ota Area Command successfully located the Toyota Camry behind Mobil Fueling Station, Asore, Atan-Ota.
The owner, Mr. Omoola Mathew, subsequently arrived at the location and positively identified and confirmed the recovered vehicle as his property. The vehicle was formally handed over to him.
The owner expressed appreciation to the So-Safe Corps for the prompt response, coordination and successful recovery of his vehicle.
The State Commander, while commending the Director of Liaison, Area Commander, Divisional Officer, and their team for their professionalism, prompt response, intelligence-driven operation and commitment to duty, stated that efforts are ongoing to apprehend anyone involved in this crime.
(Dr.) Ganzallo reiterated the Corps’ commitment to intelligence-led security operations, protection of lives and property, and effective collaboration with other security agencies in the fight against crime across Ogun State.
He also urged members of the public to install tracking devices in their vehicles and to provide credible and timely information to security agencies whenever they observe suspicious activities.
