The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, popularly known as So-Safe Corps, has apprehended two teenagers in connection with the alleged serial burglary of a shops in the Inawole area of Ogun State.
In a statement issued by the State Commander, (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, and made available by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Adegunwa Adegbuyi, the matter was reported on June 20, 2026 by Mrs. Julius Deborah, a 37-year-old trader and resident of Inawole.
According to the complainant, her shop had been broken into, and various valuables were allegedly stolen.
Sequel to the complaint, the Ado-Odo Igbesa Area Commander, ACC Kehinde Oluti, directed the OC Anti-Robbery, SC Ajayi Rotimi to arrange a team of formidable officer both from Anti-Robbery and Intelligence Unit of his command for detailed investigation into the incident.
The investigation subsequently led to the arrest of the duo; Abioro Taofeeq, 16, a trainee welder and resident of Ago-Igbe, and Monday Ogundele, 15, also a trainee welder and resident of Idobarun, on September 4, 2026.
During preliminary interrogation, the two suspects admitted to their involvement in burglary and stealing. They further disclosed that they were not acting alone, claiming that a third person, simply identified as T- boy, now at large, was also involved
The suspects also confessed that two shops had been burgled on five different occasions, during which items including mobile phones, money, Bluetooth devices, clothes, power bank and other valuables were reportedly stolen
The suspects and recovered items have been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Ado-Odo Divisional Headquarters, for further investigation and appropriate legal action.
The State Commander assures members of the public of its continued commitment to protecting lives and property, preventing crime, and working collaboratively with other security agencies and community in general to ensure the safety and security of residents.
