Full speech comrade Abdujabar Ayelagbe at Oja-Odan youth for Development .
A fortnight ago, I was the guest speaker at the maiden Oja-Odan Youth Day, held at Yewa North Local Government Primary School, Oja-Odan Yewa. The week-long program featured a range of impactful activities, including environmental sanitation, competitive games, road show, football competitions, talent hunts, artist night, cultural displays, and an anniversary lecture.
In my lecture titled “Youth For Development,” I commended Oja Odan youth for their initiative and commitment to community development and appreciated Kabiyesi Oloja of Oja Odan for the support that inspires youth of the town for numerous accomplishments. I emphasized the importance of sound education, love for their town & its crown, and eschewing religious bigotry. I also encouraged them to preserve their social networks and establish an education trust fund to support the less privileged in their educational and vocational training pursuit for Oja Odan to stand shoulder above other towns in the nearest future.
The event was well-attended by prominent stakeholders and traditional rulers including their Royal Majesties,
Kabiyesi Oloja of Oja Odan, Kabiyesi Olu of Imasayi, Kabiyesi Aboro of Ibese, Kabiyesi Oloola of Ilara, Kabiyesi Alale of Ajilete, Kabiyesi Oniwoye of Iwoye, Kabiyesi Onijoun of Ijoun, Kabiyesi Onigboko, Kabiyesi Elebute of Ebute, Kabiyesi Olohunbe, Hon Haruna Egungbohun (MHA Yewa North 2 State Constituency), State PRO of NYCN, Deputy President of Yewa Youth Association, Business leaders from within and outside the town, Community Stakeholders, among many others.
