Ogun West people jubilate as Yayi facilitates the construction of uncompleted 107km road by Sen.Ibikunle Amosun’s Administration

The people of Ogun West are now jubilating as Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan facilitated the construction of the road.
If you can recall, the road from Ilara-Ijoun- Ilase was facilitated by Senator Ibikunle Amosun during his administration within 2011 and 2019 but he couldn’t finished it because of his plan that didn’t not work out as he planned it.
But now, Senator Olamilekan Yayi has facilitated the construction of the 107-kilometer Ilara-Ijoun -Eggua-Oja Odan-llase and the contractor has moved to the site to commence construction work on section 1 of the road.

Sen.Olamilekan Adeola lobbied and succeeded in adding this in the 2024 Budget, and it cuts across 4 Local Government Areas of the senatorial district namely Imeko Afon, Yewa North, Yewa South and Ipokia LGAs. This is a major infrastructure development along the international borders of Nigeria and with the Republic of Benin .

The road contract that was divided into 4 Sections for ease of implementation cuts across towns like Ilara and Ata in Imeko Afon LGA; Daramola, Tobolo, Aworo, Iyana Agbede, Ijale Ketu, Ibiyan, Ijoun, Tata, Imoto, Igan Alade, Eggua, Iselu, Ile Igbooro and Oja Odan in Yewa North LGA; Odan Itoro, Ibola Fagbohun, Abodein Yewa South LGA and Ifonyintedo, Alari, Koko and Ilase in Ipokia LGA.

It is true that if this project gets completed, it will be a major boost to the economy of Ogun West Senatorial district and Ogun state which is in tandem with the national development policy of border areas of Nigeria.

And if this road and many other roads like Igbokofi that contain 27 villages within and around Igbokofi can be done by Sen. Olamilekan Adeola, residents living there will be very happy and it will boost the business activities of this area because the
two major roads and Hospital in Igbokofi are too bad to say that human beings are living here.
