SO-SAFE CORPS NABS SUSPECT OVER ALLEGED BURGLARY AND STEALING OF ALUMINIUM WINDOW FRAMES

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps, has arrested a suspected burglar, identified as Quadri Anifowoshe, over the alleged burglary and stealing of aluminium window frames from a building at Adekoyeni, Atan-Ota, Ogun State.
This is contained in a statement by the State Commander, Cmdr. (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo and disclosed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi.
The suspect was apprehended on Saturday, October 3, 2026, after he was reportedly sighted around the Ajambata area carrying a sack containing pieces of aluminium. Subsequently, an officer of the Corps in the community stopped and questioned the suspect concerning the contents of the sack. Instead of responding, he bolted but was pursued and apprehended by the officer before being taken to the Atan Area Command for further interrogation.
During questioning, the suspect confessed to gaining access to a building at Adekoyeni by jumping over the fence. He further disclosed that he removed aluminium window frames from the building, broke them into pieces and intended to sell them.
The agent in charge of the building, Mr. Wasiu Toriola, subsequently appeared at the Atan Area Command on behalf of the owner. He requested that the matter be transferred to the Police for further investigation and necessary action, pending the return of the owner, who was said to be in Lagos State.
Consequently, the suspect and recovered exhibits has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Atan Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and appropriate action.
The So-Safe Corps reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property and urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious movements and activities within their community
