State Coordinators Of Lagos, Ogun Special Marshals Honoured For ContributionsFRSC Road Safety Advocacy

The State Coordinators of RS2.1 Lagos and RS2.2 Ogun State Special Marshals, SM (Dr.) Olabisi O. Dennis and SM Taiwo Salau Balogun, have received recognition for their contributions to Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) road safety advocacy and voluntary service at the 2026 RS2 Zonal Conference held in Abeokuta.
SM Dennis received the Outstanding State Coordinator Award in recognition of his leadership in guiding Lagos Special Marshals to emerge as an outstanding-performing state in Nigeria during the national assessment conducted to mark the first anniversary of the administration of the National Coordinator, SM (Dr.) Adaji Usman, FCILG.
Under his leadership, RS2.1 Lagos has recorded notable efforts in road safety advocacy, membership development, training, welfare, operational efficiency and compliance with national directives. With nearly two decades of service, Dennis has held several positions, including Unit Treasurer, Unit Coordinator, Assistant State Secretary and Assistant Zonal Secretary for Lagos and Ogun States.
Similarly, SM Taiwo Salau Balogun received an Excellent Service Award in recognition of his dedication and contributions to the growth of the Special Marshals scheme. He joined the Lions Unit of RS2.2 Ogun State in 2003 and subsequently served as Unit Secretary, Unit Coordinator, State Financial Secretary and Deputy State Coordinator before emerging as State Coordinator through an election in 2025.
Both award recipients exemplify the spirit of volunteerism, leadership and commitment to safer roads. Their recognition highlights the contributions of Special Marshals to road safety education, institutional development and service to humanity.
While Dennis dedicated his award to Lagos Special Marshals, acknowledging their teamwork, discipline and sacrifice, Balogun remains committed to strengthening the Ogun State Command and advancing the ideals of the Federal Road Safety Corps.
The awards at the zonal conference underscore the importance of committed leadership and collective responsibility in promoting road safety and saving lives on Nigerian roads.
