SO-SAFE CORPS APPREHENDS 20-YEAR-OLD SUSPECT FOR BURGLARY IN OGUN

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, popularly known as So-Safe Corps has apprehended a 20-year-old man, Oyeleye Moshood in Ogun.
According to the State Commander, Cmdr. (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, through the Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Adegunwa Adegbuyi, the suspect, who is a resident of Anuoluwapo Street, Off Olomu, Ifo, Ogun State was alleged for stealing and maliciously damaging Al-Lateef Group of Schools property, at 75, Bibire Community, Off Olomu, Ifo.
The Commander disclosed that, Ifo Zonal Command of the Corps received an information regarding the incident from a man, identified as Alhaji Animasaun Jelili, the Proprietor of the said school.
In his report, the proprietor explained that he received a call from the school security guard, on the 23rd September, 2026 around 9pm, that he noticed the School gate was locked from the behind which was unusual at that time of the night. Afterwards, he tried gaining access into the school compound, but noticed that someone was inside.
The burglar have removed many sliding windows, wires, 2 ceiling fans and metals. In the process, he heard footsteps and immediately fled the scene, but forgot his clothes (Jalabia) at scene.
According to the proprietor, there had been many cases of stealing and burglary activities in the school for some time, but the incident has been rampant since January 2026 which was calls for concern.
The suspect was eventually apprehended by the operatives of the Agency, with the aid of the clothe recovered at the scene and subsequent investigation carried out in the neighborhood.
The suspect, who lives not far from the school, tried to eacape again on realizing that the operatives are closing in on him, but was subdued and eventually arrested.
The suspect and recovered property has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Ifo Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and appropriate legal action.
